What the organiser has confirmed
The official Chiang Mai Design Week 2026 page lists 5–13 December 2026 and the theme “Local Thunders, Global Transformation”. Those dates establish the festival window; they do not mean every exhibition or workshop runs for all nine days.
Check the specific programme entry for each visit. Venue, daily opening, registration and participation conditions belong to that entry. A festival announcement is not a reservation for a workshop or a guarantee that a programme item still has space.
How to make a useful day plan
Choose one exhibition area or a small cluster before adding a workshop. Save the locations and leave time between sessions. If a programme involves a booking, complete that with the organiser rather than assuming arrival at the festival is sufficient.
For a first Chiang Mai visit, keep ordinary sightseeing and festival sessions distinguishable. You can enjoy a design-focused morning without committing every day of the trip to the event. Check your accommodation-to-venue journey and keep a meal break outside any timed session.
